It’s a joy to begin sharing topics in The Journey series with you.
The Journey is all about the call of God on your life. Where you end up in life is determined by how well you prepare for it.
So far I have shared on Defining your Destination by Vision, Fulfilling Your Purpose, The Pillars of Progress and Strategies for a Fulfilled Life.’ Our focus is now on ‘Focus on the Future, Walk of Faith and Living by the Promises of God'.
FOCUS ON THE FUTURE back to top
To make a success of your journey, your focus must be right. You have to know that the Word of the Lord abides forever; 1 John 2:17. When your focus is good, your future will be great.
Don’t allow anything to break your focus. There are people who you meet in your journey who will try to break your focus; therefore you must know the leading of the Holy Spirit and abstain from all appearances of evil; 1 Thessalonians 5:22. When you do not have focus, you will have regrets. When you have focus, you have no regrets as you are fulfilling the will of God.
When you are not focused, you can miss your way. When driving, you can take the wrong turn on the road. You drive along looking for a turning but there is none; you keep going until you reach the appropriate roundabout. You have to keep your focus otherwise you will find yourself on the motorway of life unable to make a u-turn.
It is therefore important to keep your focus; no-one can make you fail without your participation. Choose your focus; focus on the Lord so that you can fulfil your destiny. And as you focus, you will be where God wants you to be; and with whom God wants you to be with. You will then focus on the Word and not on the circumstance.
Speak scriptures to yourself, speak your need, and speak the Word. By doing this you will have made the Word your focus instead of your circumstances. With focus, you will be able to look back on your life and say;
“God, I’m thankful, grateful for your directing of my life and allowing me to continue to walk in the path of righteousness; knowing the voice of the Holy Spirit”
It is focus that will cause you to know that no man shall be able to stand against you; because your focus will determine where you are going. Your focus must therefore be right. Focus on the Lord, focus on His Word and as you do so, you will make a success of your journey.
As you hear all of the messages it is my prayer that you will apply the principles and fruit will manifest in your life.
You have been called appointed, equipped and anointed for such a time as this.
