Prayer Works: Real Stories of Hope, Healing, and Victory

At KICC, we serve a prayer-answering God. Scripture reminds us that when we pray, we can have full confidence that God will answer. As 1 John 5:14-15 (NLT) says:

“And we are confident that He hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases Him. And since we know He hears us when we make our requests, we also know that He will give us what we ask for.”

Many in the KICC family write to share testimonies of God’s goodness in their lives. And there’s one thread that ties them all together: PRAYER. As you read these stories, let faith and hope rise within you. Remember Acts 10:34 (NLT):

“Then Peter replied, I see very clearly that God shows no favouritism.”

What God has done for others, He will do for you too, only believe!

Our Jehovah Rapha

I reflect on the many times Jehovah Rapha said no to the enemy in my life. After losing a quadruple pregnancy due to medical negligence, God lifted me from deep depression and grief.

A year later, I discovered a lump in my breast and was diagnosed with cancer. Fear gripped me, and doctors prepared me for the worst. But I refused to accept their report. Friends and family stood in prayer, and even from my hospital bed, God used me to minister to others. Out of my pain, He birthed a counselling ministry.

Thirty years later, I am alive, healed, and fulfilling God’s purpose. I thank God for Pastors Matthew and Yemisi; KICC is a praying church. When you cannot pray for yourself, God raises others to intercede, and He moves on your behalf. All glory belongs to Yahweh. Amen.

Divine Promotion

God cares about every part of our lives, health, finances, careers, and more. If you are trusting Him for a promotion or open doors in your business, let these testimonies strengthen your faith.

After working in the NHS for over a decade, I was denied a lead role despite having completed an MBA and an MA in Leadership and Management. When the rejection came, I said, “The devil is a liar”, and applied elsewhere. Still no offer. I sensed a spiritual blockade.

I petitioned God, writing down my desires as Pastor Matthew had instructed during a service. Thanks be to God, I was appointed Medical Director (MD). Interviewed as a General Medical Counsel Specialist Associate, I was granted the post.

I thank God for fighting the battle of divine promotion according to His plan for my life. All glory to Him!

Doors That Open

For years, I struggled to secure a settled job in the UK, but I refused to give up. Between the 27th and 28th of April 2025, I had a dream where my pastor said, “Keep knocking, the door is not locked.”

On 30th April 2025, during Morning Glow, Pastor Matthew declared, “Doors have just opened for you; major doors in high places.” I wrote this prophetic word down.

By 19th November 2025, every prayer had been answered, and I resumed work. I praise God, who is too faithful to fail. Amen.

Restoration and Joy

God is a Restorer. What the enemy intends for evil, He turns for good. The Bible assures us that God will never leave or forsake us. Whatever season of life you are in—mountain top or valley, He meets you at your point of need.

Pastor Matthew’s prophetic message for November 2025, “Joy Unspeakable,” overwhelmed me. Years ago, I planned to build a house in Ghana, but due to dishonesty from a relative, the project failed, leaving me with a £35,000 debt.

Through faithful repayment and God’s guidance, step by step, He turned my story around. By His grace, in November 2025, I became the proud owner of a beautiful five-bedroom house; what the enemy meant for loss, God turned into victory. All thanks and praise to God Almighty.

Reflect, Believe, Receive

Reading these testimonies, one truth shines clearly: God is faithful. He is a God who hears, who moves, and who acts on behalf of those who trust Him. What He has done for one, He will do for another. What He has promised, He will fulfil.

Life may bring seasons of loss, setbacks, or unanswered questions, but these are never the final chapters. The pain you endure today may be the very soil from which your greatest blessing grows. The doors that seem closed may be the gateways to divine promotion. The trials that break you may become the very ministry through which you heal and bless others.

Let these stories remind you: no situation is beyond God’s reach. Whether it is your health, your career, your finances, or your dreams, He is intimately involved in every detail of your life. Your faith, your prayers, your perseverance, and your trust are never in vain.

Take courage. Stand firm. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep moving forward. As Numbers 23:19 reminds us, God does not lie, does not change His mind, and never fails.

Today, let your heart rise in hope. Your breakthrough is on its way. Your miracle is being written. And your testimony, the one that will inspire others, is already in the making.
